We punish poor people in policy every day. That has to change.

• Rethink how we measure need, adjust the Federal Poverty Line (FPL) and Area Median Income (AMI) to reflect real costs of living

• End regressive taxation that disproportionately impacts working-class families

• Pass national tenant protections: rent increase caps, just cause eviction laws, and livability standards

• Fully fund SNAP, WIC, and CHIP, with incentives for local sourcing
